SMARTY / Experiential / Date The Game (Not The Player)

How do you get people who might be unhappy with their current mobile network to consider SMARTY as the simple and honest cheaper alternative?

By getting them in the mindset of discovery through our “Date The Game (Not The Player)” event. We invited gamers who were in a gaming rut – playing the same games over and over again – to speed date new, retro and different types of games to the ones they usual play. Slots for the free event were made available through eventbrite.co.uk and we even created a leaderboard for each session with the winner getting to go head-to-head with a gaming influencer at the end of every session!


We created a picture story for media coverage to raise awareness of the event and the concept so that people could start booking their slots online.


Then we invited press, influencers and customers to come down and discover their new favourite game (and new favourite mobile network).


We took over Platform in Shoreditch for the event, including window vinyls, posters, neon signs, menus, photo ops and more.


We even got game fanatic and female boxing legend Nicola Adams to post about the event.
